Assertiveness 101! WorkshopAssertiveness is the key communication skill for asking for what you want and need whilst respecting yourself and those around you (just like our friendly Aran Island cow on the left who looks like she knows exactly how to do it!).
Respect is the name of the game when it comes to assertiveness - and in this workshop respect is the centre of learning. You'll be asked to look internally at your own behaviour and habits, to identify where, when, how and why you choose your behaviours at any one moment - whether it be passive, aggressive or assertive. You'll also gain insight into why and how others use these behaviours, and the best bit is you'll get a tool kit of techniques to facilitate and manage difficult behaviours in both yourself and others. Woohoo!! Through a range of fun activities, discussion and quiet reflection time, you'll walk away with a greater understanding of you and your behaviour (as well as those of others), PLUS a practical and positive Action Map to cement your learning and self discoveries. This is a day of empowerment, assertive skill devleopment, honesty, great sharing, and play!
